Goldsturm Rudbeckia is a beautiful plant and is great as a border plant. It can sucker and spread, sort of like mums, but burying 4-5" plastic lawn edging bewtween the Goldstrums and the places you don't want it to spread to is very effective. The Missouri Botanical Center states that angular leaf spot is a common problem with Goldsturm Rudbeckia.
